57% Of Professionals Have Made Changes To Their Stock Portfolio Due To The Pandemic

Yesterday, Stocks suffered their biggest loss in the past three months. It is rumored that traders grew concerned about the increasing number of  coronavirus cases in some states. However, retail investors capitalized on the coronavirus market, despite the warnings of hedge fund managers who said stocks would retest their lows. At Blind, the anonymous professional network with 3.6+ MM verified professionals, we wanted to know what changes professionals made to their stock portfolio since the start of the pandemic?

 We took to the platform and asked our users four questions:

1.  Have you made changes to your stock portfolio since the start of the pandemic?
2. What stock portfolio changes have you made since the start of the pandemic?
3. What stock portfolio spread changes have you made since the start of the pandemic?
4. If you can- how would you quantify the gains/ loss of your stock portfolio?

Key Findings as of (5/09-5/12) (1,500 Responses): 

• 57% of professionals have made changes to their stock portfolio since the start of the pandemic
  • 49% of professionals have increased investment/ invested in new stocks
  • 15% Decreased investment/ sold stocks
  • 6% withdrew from the market
• 28% of professionals have made their portfolios more aggressive growth strategy 
  • Alternatively, 16% of professionals have made their portfolios more conservative 
• 60% of professionals say they have seen gains in their stock portfolio
  • Conversely, 16%  say they have seen losses in their stock portfolio
