75% Of FAANG Professionals Feel Less Connected To Their Coworkers
Nine months into pandemic-induced telework, employees’ priorities are changing.
Company culture seems to matter as much — if not more — than it used to.
In fact, on Blind, the largest anonymous professional community with 4.1M users from big tech, unicorns, and startups, we learned that 45% of professionals say company culture has mattered more to them since work from home began.
That’s a seismic shift in the way Americans think about work — and it underscores the need for managers and leaders to pay close attention to culture during the pandemic and beyond. Of the nearly 2,400 surveyed professionals, 68% say they currently feel disengaged at work.
This same survey revealed that 66% of U.S. professionals feel less connected to their coworkers than they did when in office.

Fostering a good work culture is especially important for firms that have undergone rounds of layoffs. Those events likely detracted from a professional’s sense of belonging at work. This sentiment is evidenced by 80% of Uber employees who feel disengaged at work, 12% higher than the average.
