Best Companies to Work For in India 2025 — Target, NVIDIA, and American Express Lead
Blind, the anonymous community app for professionals, has published its latest rankings of the best and worst-rated companies in India.
The top-rated companies are Target, NVIDIA, American Express, Akamai Technologies, Harness, Apple, ServiceNow, Google, VMware, Meta, EPAM Systems, Chargebee, Zoho, Pure Storage, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Unsurprisingly, global tech giants like NVIDIA, Apple, Google, and Meta dominate the list.
In contrast, lowest-rated employers are DP World, MindTickle, Paytm, InMobi, Media.net, Tekion Corp, Zeta, Coinbase, ThoughtSpot, Atlassian, IBM, Western Digital, Sprinklr, Indeed.com, and Amazon.
The rankings are based on verified employee reviews of 7,020 companies submitted over the past year by professionals accessing Blind from India. Each company was rated on a 5-point scale across six categories: overall satisfaction, career growth, work-life balance, compensation and benefits, company culture, and trust in management.
What stands out is the weak correlation between pay and overall satisfaction. For example, American Express ranks 2nd overall despite a median salary of $32,250, as reported by its verified employees on Blind, placing it in the bottom 29% for compensation among India-based companies. By contrast, Coinbase offers a median salary of $82,000—among the top 12%—yet is rated as one of the worst places to work.
“Globally, non-monetary factors have consistently shown a stronger correlation with overall satisfaction, while compensation frequently emerges as an outlier,” said Alex Han, Communications Manager at Blind. “This trend holds true in India as well. Our analysis shows that company culture and management have the strongest ties to overall ratings, while compensation shows the weakest.”
For company culture, Target, NVIDIA, American Express, Akamai Technologies, ServiceNow, Zoho, Arista Networks, Morgan Stanley, VMware, and JPMorgan Chase & Co. received the highest scores. Trust in management was rated highest at Target, American Express, ServiceNow, Arista Networks, AMD, NVIDIA, Pure Storage, Apple, Harness, and EPAM Systems—reinforcing the strong link between these categories and overall employee satisfaction.
Meanwhile, the most searched companies among India-based professionals on Blind over the past year are Meta, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Apple, NVIDIA, ByteDance, Netflix, OpenAI, and Walmart. In addition to these companies, trending search terms such as “India offer,” “layoff,” “referral,” “promotion,” and “H-1B” point to strong user interest in both career growth and international opportunities.
All verified users on Blind can access the full database of company reviews and salary insights. Since May 2020, Blind has been collecting employee reviews and salary data for about 350,000 companies from verified professionals, empowering everyone to make informed career decisions.
Methodology
Company review rankings are based on verified employee reviews of 7,020 companies submitted over the past year by India-based professionals on Blind. Only companies with 10 or more reviews were included in the analysis. Each company was rated on a 5-point scale across the following six categories:
- Overall satisfaction
- Career growth
- Work-life balance
- Compensation and benefits
- Company culture
- Trust in management
Salary data is based on compensation submissions by verified professionals in India. Users submit their salary information—including base pay, bonuses, and equity (if applicable)—along with their job title, level, and location.
Search trend rankings reflect the most searched company names and search keywords among verified India-based users over the past year. Data includes search activity from both Blind’s web and app platforms.
