Blind, the anonymous community app for professionals, has published its latest rankings of the best and worst-rated companies in the United States
Top and Lowest-Rated Companies in 2026
The top-rated companies to work for are Anthropic, NASA, Bain & Company, Netflix, Datadog, and Google. What may be shocking to some outside the tech industry is not seeing tech giants Amazon, Meta, and Apple on the list.
Looking at the comparisons, whereas Anthropic earned 4.8/5 stars, Amazon is sitting at 3.11/5, Meta at 3.24/5, and Apple at 3.90/5 stars. The ratings are based on five criteria: career growth, compensation/benefits, management, work-life balance, and company culture. Employees are also to give their overall rating of the company when leaving a review.
Across the board, Anthropic earned rave reviews in 2025:
“Culture and values are so focused on that we generally hire people who want to help each other (low ego and high humility). People are there for the mission and not themselves which is very rare in tech.”
When compared to Glassdoor’s rankings of 2025 top companies, Bain & Company and Netflix were listed in the top 100.
The lowest ranking companies of 2025 include EventBrite (2.08/5), Microstrategy (2.06/5), Groupon (2/5), CARS24 (1.94/5), and MURAL (1.83/5).
The top 10 searched companies in 2025 were Amazon, Meta, Google, Microsoft, Apple, OpenAI, Netflix, NVIDIA, Oracle, and ByteDance. The only company from this list that ranks as a top-paying company is Netflix, with a median salary of $440,000, distinguished by 1,194 employee submissions on Blind. Following in the top five is OpenAI ($325,000), Roku ($240,000), Citadel Securities ($225,000), and Roblox ($222,000).

In addition to the above, Blind pulled the top 10 search terms from users in 2025, which included “layoff”, “H1B”, and “RTO.” These can be grouped into some of the top news stories of 2025 regarding the workplace, as the U.S. faced over 1.17 million job cuts and H-1B visa holders faced unprecedented challenges continuing their employment in the states.
All verified users on Blind can access the full database of company reviews and salary insights. Since May 2020, Blind has been collecting employee reviews and salary data for about 248,000 companies from verified professionals, empowering everyone to make informed career decisions.
Methodology
Company review rankings are based on 35,518 verified employee reviews submitted over the past year by U.S.-based professionals on Blind. Only companies with 10 or more reviews were included in the analysis. Each company was rated on a 5-point scale across the following six categories:
- Overall satisfaction
- Career growth
- Work-life balance
- Compensation and benefits
- Company culture
- Trust in management
Salary data is based on compensation submissions by verified professionals in the U.S. Users submit their salary information—including base pay, bonuses, and equity (if applicable)—along with their job title, level, and location.
Search trend rankings reflect the most searched company names and search keywords among verified U.S.-based users over the past year. Data includes search activity from both Blind’s web and app platforms.
