The worst
It appears some people never learn their lesson. Better, the company that unceremoniously laid off 900 people in an awkward Zoom call in December was back at it again. The embattled fintech company laid off another 3,000 workers this week. Some people found out they were fired not from a Zoom call or email but when their severance hit their payroll app and bank account too early.

Is security weak at Google?
Google said it wants to buy the cybersecurity consultancy Mandiant. The internet giant will spend $5.4 billion—its second-biggest acquisition ever—to add the company to its Google Cloud unit. Google Cloud might need all the help it can get. Last week, the business group laid off dozens of technical solutions engineers around the world.

The price of Amazon shares will soon drop to about $140, and investors are excited! The online-shopping giant said it would split its stock 20:1 in June. Every shareholder of Amazon will receive an extra 19 shares for each share they own. The company also said it would buy back $10 billion of its own stock.
