Meta is everywhere
You can call Mark Zuckerberg, Mr. Worldwide. The Meta founder and CEO plans to spend half or more of his time in California and remotely work the rest of the year. Other executives have worked remotely or plan to move to work from Cape Cod, Hawaii, Israel, Spain or the U.K. Meanwhile, the return-to-office date is March 28.
Here’s how RTO will work at Meta.
RIP Anaplan
The private equity firm Thoma Bravo said it plans to take Anaplan private in a $10.7 billion buy-out. The business software company’s shares have struggled recently. Before the news, the stock price had been down more than 22% in the last six months.

The No. 3 tech hub isn’t in the U.S.
Austin and Miami may be getting the hype, but the biggest tech hub outside of Silicon Valley and New York is in Canada, according to the real-estate company CBRE. Toronto has been hiring tech workers faster than any hub in the U.S. You might have heard of some of the companies downtown: Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Pinterest and Stripe.
If you’re moving to Toronto, this is what you should know.
No stock for you!
Some tech workers haven’t gotten paid this month because of Russia’s war in Ukraine. A major Silicon Valley company recently paused its RSUs and other stock-based compensation plans for Russian nationals in the U.S. because of Russia’s sanctions.
