Got any ideas?

100,000 people cut

Earth’s best employer shed 100,000 employees last quarter. The job cuts of 6% are Amazon’s largest in a single quarter. Just don’t call it a layoff: On the last earnings call, executives said they got rid of the positions by adjusting hiring and normal attrition.

‘This is on me’

It seems like things at Robinhood have gone from bad to worse. The stock-trading app fired nearly 800 people this week as revenue fell compared to the previous quarter, and monthly active users dropped by 33%. The company laid off 9% of its staff less than four months ago. In the earnings call, the CEO accepted the blame and said they had overhired.
